STORY 3
KUALA LUMPUR - LOMBOK
While waiting for our plane on board. I let my nine months old baby Ariz loose a bit and let him crawling on the floor at the airport. I'm hoping he will get tired and fall asleep later.
He did fall asleep-- before the plane was about to take off. Until half way, he awake.. and there you go-- I gave him some snacks, foods and sight seeing-- the clouds--flipping some books. And some milk-- and after he get tired, he will get back to sleep again.

BABY ESSENTIAL ITEMS
(Island Hopping Version*Based on my personal experience)
1. Clean Mat
Dont forget to bring a clean mat or (alas kain) for baby to sleep or it also can be a mat for changing baby diapers. The hot sand or weather probably not suitable for baby to sleep. Be prepare for unpredictable situations.

2. Heavy breakfast - for breastfeed mom
I also learnt that, it is important for me (as a breastfeed mom) to eat heavy breakfast. I even request rice for breakfast to avoid hunger. Or I might turn as mad woman or grumpy hungry momster.
3. Extra clothes & pants
I want to bring as many as I could ( I packed all the clothes for baby, toddler and me), extra shirt-- and pants and diapers. Perhaps the entire cupboard. But of course, my husband said, NO!
4. Baby Carrier
I love baby wrap! Baby carrier or instant baby wrap are much more convenient and easy.
5. Bottle Milk
Since I always breastfeed my baby directly. Next time, I wish to prepare bottle milk for my baby. My baby, Ariz doesn't want bottle milk (YET). His refusal probably a HUGE dilemma for me. And that's a big Y (now) he is forever my little handbag a.k.a baby KOALA. And that's why-- I never leave him, I always carry him anywhere and everywhere I go.

6. Let your baby loose, move & crawl
Somehow I need to put him down laying on the sand and let him free after a long journey of riding a boat. Even though, he was not crawling yet (not yet at that moment), I just think I need to let him loose a bit, let him relax-- so that he feel comfortable and easy.
7. Nursing cover
Sometimes I breastfed my baby with or WITHOUT nursing cover. My hanging milk (susu gantung) are flexible at anyhow, anywhere and everywhere.

10. Snacking Food
Snack is savior too. It is important to eat on time and it is essentials to have some biscuits and bread as a must have items to carry along for baby and toddlers.
In case of emergency or we might eat at delayed hours, later than usual.

11. Travel Cutlery
Don't forget spoon & fork! Baby Ariz is 9 months and he already begin to eat solid food. So I always need to prepared his on-the-go meals every time.
12. Soap/Sanitizer
Remember always keep your baby hand, bottoms and your hand clean everytime!
13. Extra Careful**
After a tough boat ride and strong wind, we are all a bit panicked. The water was so rough. All I know, I---need to hold my baby very strong and tight.
We experienced rough speed boat ride (because of the strong wind)-- in Lombok
from mainland to Gili Trawangan
|
However sadly, our tourist guide said, the weather was not so good to go for island hopping or snorkeling.
So we walk around Gili Trawangan Island and riding on horse-cart. And, I had to eat street Bakso to fill my stomach after the STRONG WAVES--roller coaster ride, I feel dizzy and uneasy.
Here are some photos from my trip to Gili Trawangan, Lombok ;

After lunch, we go back to our place and swims at our lovely Villas.

So far, so good though!
My kids really enjoyed sandy beaches.
Overall, its quite joyous and adventurous experienced-- having to deal with my baby and toddler.
In case of anything, be prepared of their moods-- and also the unexpected weather.
And yes, the experienced was ridiculously and tremendously amazing.
Sweet moments that I will cherish and remember forever.
...
till next time.
Sincerely LOVE,
l.D.
